Dues:  After some discussion it was suggested to extend the offer of renewing membership to AASP for $20 until the first meeting in September as opposed to the end of August.

After the meeting it was decided to keep the deadline for September 1st for the discount on the dues.

Nov 6, 2003 David Beazley will present a lecture on Uranian Astrology. 

Dec 4, 2003 will be our yearly holiday gathering.  The guest speaker will be Imsara on Evolutionary Astrology.  Artist Patricia Bowers will also be present  exhibiting her "Channeled" paintings.    It was discussed of having a potluck for the Christmas Party.   President Jan Carter showed Board Members some of Ms Bowers work.  She also has pieces of an astrological motif. 

Jan 8, 2004 we will have Janet Sciales presenting an overview for 2004. 

It was suggested by several board members the possibility of bringing in an well-known speaker such as Robert Hand or Maritha Pottinger, as nothing definite has been planned for Feb-Apr. 

Workshops:  The first workshop of the AASP year will be held on Oct 4, 2003 with Robert Blaschke speaking on "Medical Astrology". 

Nov 8, 2003 David Beazley will present a workshop on "Basic Uranian Astrology". (location as yet not determined) 

In Mid-November (no date finalized yet) we will have Gary Christian present a workshop on "Intermediate Uranian Astrology". 

Location:  After much discussion it was decided that the Club will most likely return to the Ramada Inn at 5005 34th St N (US 19) St Petersburg, Fl.  Former President  Hebert is looking into having the workshops at the Seminole Rec Center. 
It was later decided to hold the meetings at the Ramada Inn on US 19 in St Pete

Another topic mentioned was to move the meeting time up to 7:30 pm from 7 pm as some members must travel some distance and to give people time to get settled and quite.  It was mentioned of the noise at the Treasurer's Table when the President or Guest Speaker is trying to speak. 

A thought to raise money for the Club was to have a rummage sale.  A Board Member offered their yard if the idea came about.  The Sales Table will still be available at meetings as well as the Raffle.

We also talked about making fliers for the club meetings and workshops and having club members place them in libraries and health food stores, etc.  These fliers could be downloaded from the website.  Also, Dorothy Johnson suggested we making up welcome packets for new members with a list of recommended Astrology Books. 

Several Board Members offered their homes for out of area guest speakers to stay while in the area. 

Another topic mentioned was of having an informal get together once a month to discuss astrology.  Board Member James Keehner said he will see if the Safety Harbor Library can accommodate this group discussion. 

Another topic mentioned was how some people would get together after the monthly meeting to discuss astrology.  This is one of the ideas of having a greeter at the door to help new members and shy members feel comfortable and maybe get together after the monthly meeting.  Denny's Restaurant is across the way.

President Jan Carter and Board Member James Keehner talked about different things the Astrology Club in Kentucky (they were members) would do to make people feel welcome.   

President Jan Carter and Vice President Keth Luke spent the remainder of their day after the meeting adjourned looking into other places as an alternative to hold the Club's meeting at.
